vom Kervinshof introduced the German Rauhaar Dackel to our clientel about three years ago and to no one's suprise the demand for these great little dogs has steadily increased. They have been widely accepted by bow hunters, waterfowlers, upland game and big game hunters. Several outfitters are using them to blood track and find trophy animals shot by their customers which may have otherwise been lost. They are low maintenance, easy to transport by horse, ATV, backpack, plane or automobile and make super family and house dogs. But when it is time to work they are tireless and tenacious. When the hunt is over they will lay quitly in your lap and watch cartoons and the Outdoor Channel knowing very well you are proud of them for what they have done. If you are looking for a great dog or a trip to Germany try one of these Rauhaar Dackels, I think you will be glad you did.

These are the legendary German wirehaired hunting dachshunds and are commonly seen throughout Germany but rarely in the United States. They are great family dogs and hunting companions. They have become very popular with Bow Hunters and Outfitters for blood tracking wounded game. Demonstrations are available at our kennel on these wonderful little hunters but they are not your grandma's dachshund. See our web page for further details.
